2025-26 President’s Challenge

This year, I chose to challenge myself, as well as my fellow Guild members. I have admired quilts done with this type of fabric for some time, but when I tried to commit to fabric choices, I hit a wall. So here we go…

The challenge is to use solids only!

You must use at LEAST three (3) different colours or shades of one colour (ie. 3 different shades of blue or whatever colour you choose). You can use as many colours as you like as long as there’s at least three.

Size requirement is 4 placemats or any one piece 20” x 20” or larger (or an equivalent - ie table runner). 

The backing does NOT have to be a solid.

Deadline for completion is the June pot luck luncheon. 

Sign up fee is $5.00 for each piece you do (yes, someone asked if they could do more than one - that’s the spirit!). Please sign up with Vice President Julie Ann Mercer.

If you complete the President’s Challenge, your entry fee will be returned if you choose. If not, or you don’t complete the challenge, remaining funds will be donated to Community Quilts.
